Terms of Service - Anvil

The agreement between you and Anvil. It also sets out how Anvil processes your store's data as your service provider.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Anvil (the Service), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please uninstall the app.

2. The service

Anvil is a Shopify app that manages purchase orders, suppliers, multi-location inventory, transfers, reorder suggestions, and reports. On your behalf, Anvil writes inventory quantities and cost-of-goods back to Shopify.

Shopify remains the source of truth for your catalog, prices, and orders. You're responsible for verifying critical figures (inventory counts, cost writes, and reports) against Shopify and your accounting records.

3. Acceptable use

Use the Service lawfully. Don't scrape or reverse-engineer the app, don't try to circumvent rate limits or security controls, and don't use Anvil to violate Shopify's terms or any applicable law.

4. How we handle your data

You control your store's data; Anvil processes it for you. We process your data only to provide the Service (inventory tracking and reordering) and for no other purpose. We never sell, rent, or share it.

Anvil does not store protected customer information (names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is deleted after uninstall as described in our Privacy Policy and Retention Policy.

5. Billing

Anvil is billed through Shopify App Pricing. Shopify hosts plan selection, runs the charges, and provides the free trial; charges appear on your Shopify invoice. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Shopify, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anvil's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Termination

Either party may end this agreement at any time. You can terminate by uninstalling the app. On uninstall, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy and Retention Policy.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll announce it in-app before it takes effect.
